Bali, A Beautiful Island

Bali's most important city is Denpasar. The currency in Bali is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Bali's food mainly consists of rice and mostly spicy foods. Tourists often enjoy a local specialty called babi guling (roast pig), ayam betutu, nasi jenggo.

Bali had a major terrorist bombing on October 12, 2002 killing more than 200 people. The attacks were at a local night club in the tourist town of Kuta. Now bali is save the terrorists was died.

Bali has a lot of famous Balinese dances such as pendet, legong, baris, topeng, barong, gong keybar, and kecak (the monkey dance). 

Since I was small my family is very happy holiday in Bali. My family 3 times in 1 year goes to Bali. My family always chose a holiday to Bali and not to foreign countries or distant places because I have a little sister who is still cumbersome and difficult to eat.

       We very often go to Bali, but do not know we still have not bored of the "Island of the Gods".

We are always visiting new places every time we vacation in Bali like Kintamani. Kintamani is where there are mountains and lakes that have beautiful views. In Kintamani there is a nearby tree that contained the bodies. The corpses were placed there because a big tree there makes the corpses that do not stink. The other places are Dreamland, the beaches are beautiful;

Ubud, which has an exciting white water rafting, see monkeys, feeding the monkeys; In Ubud I once visited a hotel that was in the midst of many elephants. It is a place of training elephants. At that place there are many Elephants. I can directly feed the elephants, watching the elephant show. And at night I rode an elephant down the "forest taro." It was an experience that can not be forgotten and very exciting. Where the owner was a "bule" is married to a Balinese.

From the video that is shown I got a valuable lesson. We should care about the environment, animal habitats that we are damaged. If we do not care they could become extinct. With awareness we can train elephants. I was also there to learn about elephants. We have the knowledge and photos about elephants since the first "mammoth". There like a small museum and very beautiful. Many tourists from abroad came because it was a natural in the “Hutan Taro”.

Kuta, we can shop and surfing; while waiting for my parents shopped, my sister and I also visited Waterbom. Waterbom is the Forum for the water area of 3.8 hectares surrounded by tropical gardens. At there many waterslide are fun. I play with my sister, Priscilia many times. Return to the hotel, leg cramps because we came up the stairs many times, queue up and carry a big buoy. I really hope there is Waterbom also in Surabaya.

Bali Zoo, in Bali we also visited the zoo. Bali zoo is better than Surabaya Zoo. Bali zoo has well designed. There are also many exciting rides games. From the top of our game can see very beautiful coastal scenery.

Sanur and Nusa Penida, are my favorite places to play parasailing, flying fish, jet skiing, tubing, snorkeling (the corals really great!), and  etc;  Bedugul, has a beautiful lake, cool air, foods and clothes are cheap;

Tanah Lot, where to shop for clothes, souvenirs, accessories. There are 2 shrines which are located on a large stone in the Tanah Lot we can also enjoy the beautiful sunset. Djimbaran is a place to eat on the beach. We can enjoy a very tasty seafood dishes.

I really fell in love with Bali. I am happy vacation with other families in Bali likes the family of my father’s friend; I also like to go to Bali with my nephew’s family. It was exciting! I could play happily with his children; swim every day at the hotel. Enjoy the stunning scenery. This Christmas holiday, I would like to go to Lombok and Bali again. I can not wait to vacation there and play on the beach. I recommend Bali becomes your vacation spot.
